I just got a Medicare Card a couple of weeks ago because I recieved my Social Security Disability in October. I knew that I needed extra help like a Medicare Supplement or something. Having researched before to write in my Blog I called the different insurance companies and after looking over the different Plans ----- calling the Hospital ---- checking with the Doctors, etc. and also finding out that Humana is generally accepted across the board on their Medicare Advantage Plans, I decided to have an agent come and talk to me. I was very pleased! She explained the Programs in terms that I could understand, she answered all of my questions and brought up some things that I hadn't thought of and showed me the extra thing that Humana has for their customers which I liked very much.
What is important is that there all all kinds of insurances out there ----- your quest is to research and find the best for you!
The open period is now going on but, will end on December 31 so if you haven't got the extra help that you need for your medical and prescriptions, you don't have alot of time.
Know that insurance companies get a kick from Medicare so some of them are going to tell you that Medicare Advantage Plans are not good! That isn't true ----- my Mother and several other people that I know that it in different States and none of them have had any trouble.
Just do your due diligence and get the Policy that is the Best for you ---- just get one!
